Review of Brooklyn Rules (2007) by Nigel M — 05 Feb 2008
Surprisingly better than I thought it would be with Prinze Jr playing the reluctant witness to the mob running of his area around him. Caan was very good - the parody of so many mob movie wise guys and their obsession with appearances coupled with cod-macho posturing was spot on.
Not surprising given the Soprano's link to the writer. Not just another mob film but more a reflection on how those on the edges of their activities end up getting sucked in even when they want nothing to do with it.
Not sure about Suvari - she has eyes bigger than my goldfish but my goldfish appears to have more acting ability!
