Saoirse Ronan has always been one of my favorite actresses, her portrayal of Eilis only furthers that. With poise and gravitas, Satires flawlessly weaves together Eilis' past and future, leaving her audience heartbroken yet satisfied.

This film is lovely, heartbreaking, and wonderfully, or rather, artfully created. It is the best book-to-screen adaptation I've ever seen. The cast is perfection, backed by marvelous direction, costuming, and sets.

Even if you're not a fan of dramas or period films, this is a must-see you won't regret taking the time to watch.
