Review of Brooklyn (2015) by Richard B — 14 May 2016
I liked this little film, 'Brooklyn'. I didn't really know too much about it when it came out, but I watched the trailer just before I watched the film and I regretted doing that as it basically gave 90% of the movie away.
The film is shot really well and it truly feels like it takes place int he 1950s. Saoirse Ronan is great in this and I've always been impressed with her ever since 'Atonement'. The guy who played her Brooklyn boyfriend, Emory Cohen, was also really good and I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a star.
Overall, the film's story is solid, but isn't anything too amazing, but this was a film I enjoyed.
