What an outstanding film - Ronan delivers a career performance, but more importantly, the writing and direction yield a film that feels like floats by the audience. There's nothing terribly shocking about this immigrant experience - nothing gritty or terrible happens at Ellis Island like they do in so many other tales of its ilk.
It's just a beautiful story.
