Review of Brooklyn (2015) by Bikerjames — 14 Dec 2015

I enjoyed watching this film, especially the performance of Saoirse Ronan in the lead role. I actually had never heard of her before this film. I enjoyed the costumes, the innocence of the time period, the scenery and especially Julie Walter's performance who I've always been a big fan of.

I did have an issue understanding the Irish accents in a couple of scenes but not enough to spoil the film. Although it will be classified as a "Chick Flick" by many people, I'm a man and admit that I enjoy a chick flick that is done well.

The performances in this film are excellent across the board. Recommended.
