Review of Bronson (2009) by Maximus F — 23 Jul 2012
Before Batman, there was Bateman. And before Bane, there was Bronson. A must-see if you can tolerate arthouse crazy. Nicolas Refn sure likes to build tension through silence and intense stares. His pacing may kill you, but Tom Hardy will keep you gripped.
An ultimately disturbing yet intriguing take on a true story. Where The Driver was kind, Charlie Bronson was not. A less gentle psychosis but a familiar aggression between Refn's characterizations.
Not to mention, similar soundtracks of awesome 80s electropop music.
