Review of Broken Flowers (2005) by Daniel T — 27 Mar 2009
Jarmusch is an acquired taste. You either like his movies or you don't. The great thing about this film from him is that it plays as a detective story while it also plays as a one of those mid-life crisis films while also playing as a man searching for the woman who gave birth to his long lost son and the son is looking for him or might not be looking for him.
Sounds offbeat doesn't it? That is exactly what this is and if you go with it then you may or may not like it. I loved it for not giving out sooo much information about anything and just being true.
Great movie.
