Review of Broken Flowers (2005) by Matt M — 13 Jan 2013
A wealthy middle aged Don Juan receives an unsigned typewritten letter from an old flame that informs him he has a twenty year old son on the day his most recent girlfriend has decided to gove up on him for good.
Spurred on by his detective wanna be neighbour, he sets off on a road trip to discover who wrote him the letter. Aggressively awkward but laconically minimalist, this is perhaps the ultimate anti-road movie.
