Review of Broken Flowers (2005) by Grey A — 23 Oct 2009
The reluctant Don (appropriately underplayed by Murray) is a fantastic protagonist, and my kudos go to Jarmusch for executing this script with dignity and uncertain reality. What I loved most about this film is obviously the level of ambiguity it is comfortable with existing within.
Although the chaptered approach of dividing the plot between his former lovers, as a search for his potential catalyst, is somewhat distasteful to me, but perhaps thats a good thing, life is often organized in a way that sits too artificial with me.
