Kids, if you think your movie might be pretentious, try this little test: Does the film contain Bill Murray, and does he hardly say anything throughout? Does a supporting character hand the lead a mix CD at the start that becomes the soundtrack for the film? If you answered yes to either of these questions, you're at least half-way to full-blown pretentiousness.
