Review of Broken English: Three Songs by Marianne Faithfull (1979) by Lauren T — 18 Aug 2007
I'm not a huge Parker Posey fan, but I couldn't help but fall in love with this movie. While some of her normal flaws do shine through, I do believe this is Posey's strongest performance yet.
For what it was, a touching romantic comedy, it really did everything it needed to have me pulled in and my heart racing at all the right moments. It won't go down in your books as the greatest love story ever told; but you will find yourself in a rush of emotion with a great movie about discovering how to truly love yourself.
