Review of Broken English: Three Songs by Marianne Faithfull (1979) by K J E — 08 Sep 2007
Broken English is a cute, though sometimes disjointed and slow paced, romantic comedy about a neurotic thirty-something female who has not found that special someone to love. This film is quirky and only those unmarried females over thirty or those who didn't marry until they were over thirty will truly 'get' the jest of the plot.
Most others will probably find it boring and senseless. Parker Posey fans will enjoy her in this whacked out role.
