Review of Broken English: Three Songs by Marianne Faithfull (1979) by Ryan G — 11 Sep 2007
Overall not a bad movie, but I found it to be a bit cliche in the end. On the surface it's a story of a woman searching for her true love, but on a deeper level it's the story of a woman struggling to find strength in herself.
Her search leads her to Paris to find a man who captured her heart in NYC. Her struggle continues as she is unable to find this man. However, on the way to the airport, as I predicted he would, the man boarded as well.
I feel it would have been a stronger ending knowing she was now at peace with herself and found strength in being alone.
