I dont think ive ever seen parker posey do this well in a movie before. The plot is still a romance, but its not tooo cheesy. I think the plot would have had more of an impact if it ended with her seeing him on the train and not even talking to him.
.. it would make more sense with the talk in the bar with the old man a few scenes earlier.
