Review of Broken English (2007) by Gisele M — 17 Oct 2007
It started off like Bridget Jones' Diary - only without the weight problems and the uplifting humor. Nora is definitely an interesting character and her anxiety attacks made me feel better about myself.
It really paints a sort of dismal yet realistic picture of lonely New York. The French guy was hot and perfect, of course, and I wanted him to steal my bag and my heart, forcing me to miss my flight..
. but not really. I didn't believe they were in love, so I suppose that's a problem. It was also disappointing to here Drea de Matteo speak when she's not doing her guidette accent. Overall, it definitely wasn't as good as I expected it to be though it might have been more exciting to see it in the theater.
