Review of Broken English (2007) by Maryte M — 28 Feb 2008
Love Parker Posey. This movie is considered a romantic comedy...In fact that's why I wanted to watch it. However, it's a dreary post-feminist look at life as a single 30-something. It makes me want to shake the shit out of the heroine and tell her "Hey! You're fabulous! You don't need a guy to measure your worth.
" The outfits and settings in the movie are stunning though. So, in conclusion, "House of Yes" is still my fave Posey movie.
