Review of Broken English (2007) by Avril M — 10 Jan 2009

This movie is strictly a vehicle for Parker Posey. I like her a lot, but the story just wasn't all that great.

This is a film about a woman on "the verge" just like Gena Rowlands was in the superb film "Woman on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown". To see GR, a consummate and superb actress, sit back and take this small role in a smallish film when she played the part to the T, well it took away from my appreciation of this film.
