Review of Broken Embraces (2009) by Bradley B — 15 Dec 2009
Almodovar treats us to a slew of intriguing characters and weaves them together in a fashion sure to keep you engaged. The dialogue is witty and the themes of love, passion, betrayal and revenge are masterfully exposed.
I wouldn't say that anything in this film really makes it stand out as Pedro's finest work, but it is definitely a good film and carries his signature throughout.
