Review of Broken Embraces (2009) by Bill I — 28 Dec 2009

Very solid acting performances by pretty much the entire cast. The plot however, seems a bit hamhanded and obvious. I felt like the music, lighting, and pacing of the film tried to cast this as a mystery, but all the big reveals I had already figured out before they were presented.

While the themes of the movie I found intriguing, it's the execution I didn't so much enjoy. Solid style, questionable substance.
