Almodovar is one of our treasures... a true genius and I'm thankful everytime he chooses to share his gift. This one may just be my favorite of his films. I haven't seen them all, not by any stretch... however, I'm comfortable saying that not only is this hands down one of the best, most complicated and interesting pictures of the year, it may be one of the best of the decade and it's certainly one of the best in an extraordinary career. If any of yo out there are still fighting Penelope Cruz, see this movie and lay to rest any reservations. With each of her last four pictures Ms. Cruz has erazed any doubt I have that she is a special talent. See this film and see 'Nine' and tell me who else out here is as daring and interesting and nuances as she is...
