Review of Broken Embraces (2009) by R.k. R — 02 Jan 2010
Not a film for kids afflicted with ADA or folks who can't handle subtitles (the film is long: 2 hrs +) or multiple threads or multiple layers of emotional content that never gets heavy-handed. Even when the pace or dialogue wanders a bit, Homar and Cruz invariably put it back on track.
The best film of 2009--with one qualification: I'm seeing "Nine" tonite.
