Even the simplicity of a story about a love had and lost becomes a work of art in the hands of Almodovar. His ability to take a scene and blow it up with bright colors, beautiful frames, and subtle subtext mesmerizes me and Broken is no exception.
It may not delve into the controversial subjects that Almodovar is know for, but it is the restraint that makes this movie beautiful.
