Unlike Tarantino, Almodovar's love for cinema is reflected in his movies in a very different way. It never looks like a show-off and blends seamlessly with his serpentine genre-twisting yarns. Broken Embraces that way is trademark Almodovar - shimmering with sexuality and brimming with brilliance.
