One expects more from Almodovar. I battled to have any empathy with the main male character; the suspense just dropped away leaving one dissatisfied at the end of the movie. Usually Almodovar is able to tug at one's heart strings - not here.
Penelope Cruz is gorgeous in this role - cow.
