Review of Broken Embraces (2009) by Jim S — 06 Feb 2011

Can't work out if all the elements of melodrama were presented and subverted, by a tricksy director having fun, or whether there were a number of damp suibs with bad timing. But the performances were great, there was lots of fun and insight, with film-making references and a wonderfully good/bad film within a film, so I suspect any doubts I have are partly caused by watching the film in 4 separate evenings.

It's one I will definitely watch again sometime.
