Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe are both great actors and you would think that if they would be in a movie together it would be good, right? Well, not if the movie's Broken City. Broken City is an awful crime thriller that only has the performances of Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe to save it from being one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe are far from there best in this movie but both actors give decent performances. The only reason why both actors aren't at there best in this movie is because that had nothing to work with.

I mean the directing was just terrible and the writing was just atrocious. This film does nothing new what so ever, I mean you could watch the trailer for this movie and you would already be able to guess how this movie would go.

Director Allen Hughes just does a dreadful job at directing this movie because he has no idea what he's doing, I mean you can tell that all the actors are acting because when they read they're dialogue they do it with no emotion.

Another thing that was pretty bad about this movie is the editing which was just so sloppy at times. Other than Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe none of the actors give good performances, not even Catherine Zeta-Jones who literally has nothing to do in this film other than to show up for a few scenes and just talk for like a minute.

Overall Broken City is a very poorly made movie that I would not recommend what so ever!
