Review of Broken City (2013) by Lilianetty L — 10 May 2013
Is not a bad film at all, but it's not predictable either. The script has it's own twists and the actors did a great job. The editing could have been better (to nice angles, angles over-used but not bad at all). The score sometimes was ok and sometimes to much (using Opera sometimes is great and sometimes like in this movie...is not). I keep seeing Mark on roles that are kind of...alike? He must do something different (even his comedy roles are similar somehow). He needs a new role, one that can change him forever, a risky one. But oh well, I doubt he will do that (he was even considered to do the UNCHARTED movie...I hope he doesn't...not that I don't think he can't nail it, but right now, he is the only one who looks kind off alike to Nate).
Leaving that behind, 3 stars of 5. "A mayor has in his power a dark secret from 7 years ago of this ex-cop now detective of this mayor's wife. Will this ex-cop double-cross the mayor or will the mayor double-cross him?" - that is how I see the plot here :) AU REVOIR MES AMIS DU 7th L'ART!!! - May 11, 2013.
