Review of Broken City (2013) by Stephen S — 05 Jul 2013

Pretty cool. Wahlberg and Crowe are great here, as is the supporting cast. The only problem is that there's supposed to be a huge frame-up for Wahlberg's character that never really seems to happen.

He's not really in any danger until he gets really deep into the conspiracy. Also, the events of the beginning sequence don't have any effect on the story or plot until the very end of the film.

I felt that there should've been more of a correlation between the two. Other than that though, this was a really good film.
