Review of Broken City (2013) by Mloy X — 26 Jan 2014
This film looked solid from the previews and had a solid cast so I had high expectations, but after so-so reviews I lost interest in seeing this until I after got around to seeing it on demand. The film is so-so and its entertaining enough to keep you interested, but is far from a great film.
Mark Wahlberg is the chameleon of actors as he is great in great films and terrible in bad films and as true to his nature he is average in his average film. Catherine Zeta-Jones is solid and I wish her role would have been bigger as I like her.
Overall a decent entertaining thriller that is nothing special.
