Review of Broken Arrow (1996) by Hunter D — 14 Dec 2008
For a John Woo movie, this is a MAJOR disappointment. Bad CGI that hasn't aged well, and the sets here look more like...well...sets than some of the cheapest Shaw Brothers productions. Tsui Hark was smart when he left Hollywood real fast.
I can't imagine why Woo stayed. Must have been that fat paycheck. I can't wait for Woo's return to Hong Kong with RED CLIFF, his days in Hollywood, with the exception of FACE/OFF, have not been kind.
..at least creatively.
