Review of Broken Arrow (1996) by Rocknblues 8 — 14 Oct 2009
Another one of those cheesy guilty pleasure action movies indeed. It was also one of the last films that Christian Slater played in before he basically fell off the Hollywood planet and into direct to dvd land. I'm sure John Woo has done a lot better, as I haven't seen his best stuff. But I loved this one. It's always fun to see John Travolta playing the over the top villain.
Naturally, the story and all that is predictable and this is much like the other action films of the decade. But it's just a good way to spend 2 hours without over doing the effects. After this is when Michael Bay's overly slick action movies took over.
