Some really wonderful acting and dialog produces some really wonderful scenes, but they don't really add up to much. Three neighbouring (being British) families' stories intertwine in a strange cul-de-sac of misery and sorrow.
Tim Roth is particularly good, but though it is very well done it is ultimately pointless.
