Broken minds, broken bodies, broken people, broken relationships, broken families, broken society, broken record.
Sounds like a hoot, right? Well, actually, it is.
Devoid of sentimentality and cliche, it offers a harrowing, honest and humorous (I do like alliteration - and Hendricks, the gin, not the Jimmy) portrayal of contemporary life.
Easily the most refreshing and best British drama I have seen in a long time.
