Clever transposition of "To Kill A Mockingbird" into modern-day, English suburbia. Basically, the same subjects are treated but taking the change in human behavior into careful consideration.
This could easily have been another lackluster, microscopic focus film of what is wrong with British society today, but the pitfalls are skilfully circumnavigated with good writing. Bottom line: British cinema at its best.
