Review of Brokedown Palace (1999) by Louise B — 01 Mar 2008

Okay. I'll give you that the acting could have been a hell of a lot better, there were plotholes that filled the script, and plenty of moments that left you going "wtf?"...but I still really love this movie.

Despite plotholes and shoddy acting and questionable moments it's an excellent story. Two girls caught in a drug scam...and sent to a Thai prison despite being innocent of the crime. Based on a variety of stories the director heard through his travels.

While it may not ever make a top ten list, it's at least worth a look.
