Review of Brokeback Mountain (2005) by Michael H — 08 Jul 2012

In this gay tale, Brokeback Mountain is about two men who live in a small town hired for work in the brokeback mountains. One night, something odd happens, the two men have sex. This must be because of the strong bond between the two men. They hide their secrets from society and the two men get married to woman. Its hard though for one of the characters because he wants to run off with his friend to hide and stay with him but it is more complicated then it already is. With some great actors in this movie, mostly the late Heath Ledger, the performences come out to be heartwarming and great. But unfortunitley, some characters disapeer throughout the entire movie and never return. The worst thing about it is that when Jake Gyllenhaal's character dies, why doesn't Ennis tell his wife that the two of them were gay? Would that be to hard? Or would that cause to much controversy in the town? I never got that part. But the backgrounds are sweeping and the music is breathtaking. This makes Brokeback a unusal tale of love.
