Review of Brokeback Mountain (2005) by Kris R — 18 Apr 2013

I remember hearing the flak surrounding this movie got when it released. So, finally, walking into this film, I was expecting something huge to warrant the controversy. What I got, however, was actually a well-crafted (albeit perhaps a bit long-winded by the third act) drama.

Hell, as a straight guy, myself, I found this film about two homosexual cowboys struggling to keep their companionship while juggling their double lives was not only endearing, but grossly put down for the wrong reasons.

Any sane and self-proclaimed avid viewer of cinema should appreciate a story regardless the protagonists' sexual preference.
