Review of Brokeback Mountain (2005) by Lewis E — 30 Jul 2013
Two male cowboys struggle through life having to hide their passionate love away from their wives, children and the public eye. I would say make sure you're alert when watching this as the mumbling southern accent and country landscapes nearly put me to sleep.
It is touching in places, especially at the end (no gay jokes please). 'Brokeback Mountain' gets props for being one of the earlier films to concentrate on homosexuality and not to parade the homosexuals as eccentric fruity types but it didn't do anything else special to make me want to watch it again.
A decent love tale.
