There is no doubt that passionate love shared between two cowboys in the state of Wyoming in the 60's isn't the easiest thing to capture on the screen. That said, Brokeback Mountain turned out to be a boring, dry story deprived of soul and charm.
Perhaps that was exactly what Ang Lee was going for, but then I must have been going the opposite direction.
