Review of Broadway Danny Rose (1984) by Reece L — 09 Oct 2014
Allen's films are all generally characterized by an endearingly-dour outlook on life, and yet, in the case of "Danny Rose", the paranoid and afflicted beats known to be staples of his work give way to a light and airy tone, to splendid results.
With its heaps of charm, wonderful performances from Allen and Farrow, gentle comedy, and a focus on the good in people, it earns a special place in the prolific director's body of work.
