Review of Broadcast News (1987) by Blake P — 28 Oct 2014
I was kind of worried that despite the many critics that gave it high praise, the audience weren't so, and I can kinda see why. It's not the most interesting movie that I ever seen, and William Hurt is not the best protagonist to use for the movie, but it's still a great film.
The acting is great, especially from Albert Brooks. The writing is great, and it goes to different turns which is enjoyable. The characters are nice, and it gives some great humor. I actually did want to see where it's going with the three main actors, and it didn't disappoint me.
Not James L. Brooks's best film, but Broadcast News is one of his greats.
