Review of Bringing Up Baby (1938) by Dan E — 11 Sep 2008
This is where wacky meets zany. I mean, a leopard was delivered to her apartment just as casually as a rare dinosaur bone was delivered to his! And how hip for 1938. When Cary Grant learns that his museum might get a large donation, he exclaims, "A million dollars! Say, that's pretty white of Mr.
Peabody, isn't it." And when Susan's aunt demands an explanation from him about his clothes, which at the moment happen to be a woman's bathrobe, he exasperatedly and sarcastically replies, "Because I just went gay all of a sudden!".
