Review of Bringing Up Baby (1938) by Tony T — 31 Dec 2011
The greatest and wackiest screwball comedy ever made. A wonderful piece of insanity that moves at a very fast and funny pace with terrific performances by everyone. It's hard to believe but this flick was a huge flop when first released in 1938, which resulted in Hawks being fired from the studio and effectively removing him from the "Gunga Din" project.
Forget logic, rhymes or reasons...Just sit back and enjoy. Definitely one of my personal favourites....A film that seems to improve with each viewing.... 8).
