Review of Bringing Up Baby (1938) by Will S — 30 Aug 2017
The situations Hawks puts the two stars in are already funny, but with Cary Grant giving arguably his best performance and Katharine Hepburn matching his skill it is one of the best classic comedies. The plot weaves itself in a mess of humorous subplots, but its ability to tie it back to the actual plot and end on a high note is an impressive feat by the legendary filmmaker Howard Hawks.
