Review of Bringing Up Baby (1938) by Joel A — 07 Jul 2010
A clever little screwball comedy this is...it's one of those mile and minute films of the late 1930's..but it's really enjoyable, a true classic.
Both Cary Grant & Katherine Hepburn work so well of one another, there are many scenes they just machine gun dialogue each other but keep it flowing. There interaction physical and verbally together is terrific especially with the leopard Baby. There are many scenes that are so cleverly staged and really funny.
A very chaotic film, but it works and you just got to go along with the ride...a true comedy classic....
