Review of Bringing Out the Dead (1999) by Greg T — 30 Dec 2009
Scorsese's most exciting, vibrant and interesting film since... well, ever really. Cage reins in the weird as New York, and his mind, fall to pieces over three very strange nights on the mean streets picking up drunken bums and trying not to make eye contact with the ghosts of the not-quite-saved.
Certainly one of the most hypnotic experiences in recent mainstream cinema and a beautiful marvel.
