Review of Bringing Out the Dead (1999) by Josh H — 14 Dec 2007
A powerful film about the everday life of the ambulence paramedics who work late night and save people's lives, lose some of their soul when they cant svae others and try to find ways to make life their lives more meaningful. AS very philosophical look into the men that go out their way to save peeople and their journey to finding themselves and their soul. A departure from gangster films martin scorcese directs his most thoughtful motion picture to date like taxi driver was to taxi this film is to paramedics. With a very engrossing story to some powerful performances from nicholas cage, john goodman, tom sizemore, patricia arquette and ving rhames to a great infused soundtrack help make this an astounding and poweful drama of hope, love, life and redemption.
Not to be missed and worth owning.
