Review of Bringing Out the Dead (1999) by Nick R — 06 Jan 2012
Bringing out the Dead can be described in one word: compelling. Cage's performance, along with Arquette's, brings forth this feeling of emotional suffering and numbness from losing so many lives in the line of a harsh paramedic career.
Running a tad too long, the movie still succeeds in luring the watcher into a setting where you feel what the two leads are going through. If you find it in Redbox or see it on Netflix, it wouldn't hurt to see a film this emotion-driven.
It's certainly of the most in a while.
