Sam Peckinpah's 2nd greatest film. It's a messed up road trip movie. Sure, there's alot of violence against women in this film, but you gotta look at how pessimistic masculinity is looked at.
Well, not so much as masculinity, but machismo. Gritty violence, hellish landscape, pretty damn depressing.
