Review of Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia (1974) by Brett W — 04 Mar 2008
Peckinpah bares his soul on screen in one of the most savage and nihilstic movies ever made. Oates is outstanding as the loser who thinks that the recovery of said head would bring meaning to his otherwise inconsequential life.
An uncomfortable watch, but an unforgettable modern classic.
